CeFEMA – Centro de Física e Engenharia de Materiais Avançados
Established in 2014, the CeFEMA – Center of Physics and Engineering of Advanced Materials integrates about 40 scientists from the Physics, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Departments of Instituto Superior Técnico of the Lisbon University, as well as from Évora and Algarve Universities and also from Lisbon and Setúbal Polytechnic Schools. It also integrates a variable number of graduate and undergraduate students and research collaborators. At present CeFEMA is organized in five Research Groups and the research is focused on seven Research Topics.
Research topics
CeFEMA is developing research involving intergroup and external collaborations in the following multidisciplinary topics:
Topological Phases of Matter,
Nanostructured Fluids and Soft Matter,
Non-Equilibrium Matter and Processes,
Energy Conversion and Storage,
Advanced Materials Micro and Nanofabrication,
Artificial Organs;
Physics of Information and Quantum Technologies.
